Alex MacDonald proved he made the right decision to join Falkirk on loan this season after winning his first call up to the Scotland Under 21 squad.

The midfielder, on loan from Premiership new boys Burnley, has been included in Billy Stark's get together next month.

He joins a host of other Bairns in the squad. These are Michael Andrews, Jamie Barclay, Chris Mitchell, Tam Scobbie ans Scott Arfield.

Meanwhile, Falkirk gaffer Eddie May has dropped a massive hint that captain Darren Barr is going to be included in George Burley's squad for the World Cup qualifier against Norway on August 12.

We might have had a rocky start to the season after being bundled out of the Europa League by Liechtenstein cracks FC Vaduz, but it's clear to see our players are being recognised at national level.

Well done boys!
