Falkirk European virginity ends prematurely.

So that's if then. We've lost our European virginity and like having sex it for the first time it didn't quite live up to expectations. Sure, there were euphoric highs, the first leg win at home over Vaduz was like the bit when you realise you're actually going to do it after years of waiting and hear all your mates talk about it. Then? Well...

Second leg didn't go to plan. All a bit damp as thunderstorms crashed down on The Rheinpark Stadion and things didn't go to plan and like an awkward bra strap Falkirk couldn't get a way past the Liechtenstein side.

Vaduz took the lead through Noll early and the home side should have in all fairness put the game beyond doubt. We waited for ages before getting our first chance with a Marc Twaddle header going wide but it was to be extra time.

Ryan Flynn, the hero in the first leg with a glorious winner, had another chance to make a name for himself, but has effort was saved by goalie Peter Jehle. Franz Burgmeier got the decisive killer goal to send Vaduz through.

To make matters worse Carl Finnigan got a red card at the final whistle.

At least we lost our cheery. Like doing the deed for the first time it was damp, sometimes embarrassing and over too quickly. But it's given us a taste for more.

Let's have another go soon lads!
