Falkirk written off by Sunday Mail.

The Sunday Mail sports journalists have published their predictions for the new season - and it makes grim reading for Falkirk fans.

Out of the seven writers, four of them have tipped The Bairns for relegation. John Hillcoat, Scott McDermott, Gavn Berry and Mark Guidi have said that Falkirk will finish bottom of the league. Gordon Wallace, Euan McLean and Andy Walker have all tipped Hamilton to go down instead.

Our European exploits, or two games against Vaduz, haven't done as good as we'd hope to have done. Eddie May is an untested gaffer and we've lost a host of players. But we've got a young team who'll have a fitness advantage over their older rivals, Alex Smith is an experienced head and expect Ryan Flynn, Danijel Marceta and Darren Barr to make a name for themselves.

Let's prove them wrong boys!

Meanwhile, former Falkirk striker Michael Higdon has expressed an interest in leaving St Mirren - despite just joining from The Bairns!

Hidgon has admitted he's looking to leave the Buddies in January and can't wait for a crack at the English Championship.

We might miss his presence but not an attitude like that. We're glad Hidgon is away - good riddance!
