Lovell and Aafjes leave Falkirk.

Eddie May continues to build his Falkirk team by allowing Steve Lovell and Gerard Aafjes to leave the club.

Depsite arriving in a blaze of glory, Lovell failed to shine in his only season as a Bairn, scoring ten goals in the process. It's thought that Lovell is tempted by a move to England although he's waiting to see if another SPL club will show an interest.

Dutchamn Asfjes was initally given a chance to return to Falkirk, but due to a family illness has decided to stay in his native Holland.

The exodus away from Falkirk continues. Dean Holden has gone to Shrewsbury, Michael Higdon has become a Buddie while Paddy Cregg is close to signing for former Falkirk manager John Hughes at Hibs. Dani Mallo looks certain to be teaming up with Cregg at Easter Road while Kevin McBride, Mark Staunton and Scott Gibb have also been released.

So far only keeper Robert Olejnik has signed a new contract to keep him at Falkirk.

On the eve of the club's European debut, there is no doubt May is building his own team. But has he given himeself enough time to do so?
