May gets his man.

Eddie May finally got his man when he signed Marc Twaddle from Partick Thistle. Twaddle, who was at the Bairns a couple of years ago, was sold by Thistle after the two sides finally made an agreement over his fee. Jags boss Ian McCall rates the defender highly, but couldn't stand in his way at another crack at top flight football with Falkirk.

Also joining the club are two loan recruits. Another former Falkirk player, Ryan Flynn, joins on loan from Liverpool where he's been a hit in the reserves for the Anfield club. The winger is rated by many as one of the hottest young Scottish talents around and will give the side a threat in attack. He spent a spell on loan last season at Wrexham, scoring four goals in 21 appearances.

The other loan capture was midfielder Alex McDonald from Premiership new boys Burnley. The Scotland Under-19 captain made mix appearances as a sub last season and is another who has a bright future in front of him.

May was keen to add to his squad before today's Europa League deadline.

One player who could be on his way is out Darren Barr. The defender is being chased by Capital rivals Hibs and Hearts who are both keen to strengthen their defences ahead of the start of the SPL campaign and the Scottish internationalist ticks all the right boxes.
