"Anyone watching the game today would see the spirit.

"It was the right application to avoid the situation we're in. I saw enough today to suggest we're going to be absolutely fine."

On-loan Spurs striker Robbie Keane scored both goals, meaning Falkirk remain three points adrift of Hamilton at the bottom of the table.

I thought we gave a terrific performance, we controlled the game for long periods of play and the goal came a little bit against the run of play

Falkirk manager Steven Pressley

Pressley felt his fired-up side deserved more from the match.

"After the comments about the state of the pitch, I thought some of our football was terrific," said Pressley.

"We were on the front foot, we played positive and big Enoch Showunmi caused them all sorts of problems.

"I'm devastated for the players. I thought we gave a terrific performance, we controlled the game for long periods of play and the goal came a little bit against the run of play.

"When you pay the money Celtic do for these players, that's the type of thing they can do to make the difference, but I can only speak for my own players and I thought they were brilliant."
