Falkirk V Raith at Falkirk Stadium - Match Preview

Bairns hopeful on Loy

Falkirk striker Rory Loy is expected to shake off a knock and lead the Bairns' attack against visitors Raith Rovers.

Defender David McCracken can also play as his suspension for being dismissed against Rangers in the Scottish Cup last weekend will be served in next season's knockout competition.

Technical Director Alex Smith said: "We may have lost to Rangers but there are plenty of positives to take into this game. Raith and Falkirk are very evenly matched sides but we know that this is a huge three points for us.

"We have been doing well in the league recently and we want that to carry on especially at home."

Raith will be without defender Paul Watson due to a foot injury and goalkeeper David McGurn, who has an Achilles tendon problem. Liam Fox who is suffering from a hamstring strain.

Manager Grant Murray is looking to build on a good week for the Stark's Park club that started with a Scottish Cup win at Dundee, saw increased profits posted in their annual accounts and ended with Murray and his backroom staff signing extended deals.

Murray said: "Falkirk are in fine form and this will be a tough game, however, we went to Dens Park and won so we will take confidence from that."
