Ten-man Falkirk frustrate Hibernian at Easter Road

Scottish Championship leaders Hibernian were frustrated by 10-man Falkirk after they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Easter Road.

The visitors played more than an hour with 10 men but were on course for victory after John Baird's second-half strike, only for Paul Hanlon to equalise.

Falkirk were up against it in the 25th minute when Tom Taiwo was shown a straight red card following his lunge on John McGinn.

Martin Boyle had a goal ruled out for offside just before half-time and Liam Fontaine wasted a great chance to give Hibs the lead early in the second half.

They paid the price in the 78th minute as Baird found the top right corner from David McCracken's pass against the run of play, but Hanlon deservedly levelled five minutes later with a far-post header from John McGinn's cross.
