Former Celtic captain Jackie McNamara has agreed a one-month loan deal to join First Division side Partick Thistle from Falkirk.McNamara, 36, arrived at Falkirk from Aberdeen in May 2008 after being hampered by injuries.

He made just 17 starts for the Dons before being released from his contract at Pittodrie.

Capped 34 times for Scotland, he will now join up with his former Celtic team-mate, Simon Donnelly, at Firhill.
