Morton and Falkirk share spoils from 2-2 draw

Scottish Championship play-off candidates Morton and Falkirk shared an eventful 2-2 draw at Cappielow

Morton took an early lead when Thomas O'Ware headed in Ross Forbes' free-kick before team-mate Lawrence Shankland had a goal ruled out for handball.

James Craigen levelled just before the break with a sensational strike off the underside of the bar and there was still time in the half for team-mate Nathan Austin to have a goal chalked off for handling.

Aaron Muirhead powerfully put the visitors ahead from the spot in the 50th minute after Mark Russell fouled Lee Miller

Soon afterwards Nathan Austin nearly made it 3-1 but hit the bar.

Morton responded strongly, with Luke Donnelly heading down to Forbes to slot home from a tight angle.
