Taylor bags treble

Lyle Taylor's hat-trick inspired Falkirk to a 4-1 rout at Airdrie.

Jay Fulton fired the visitors in front two minutes before the break, converting Kieran Duffie's right-wing cross from close range.

Ryan Donnelly levelled for Airdrie from Marc Warren's free-kick soon into the second half before Taylor took centre stage.

The striker drilled home his first from the edge of the area after 67 minutes then doubled his tally with a header from a cross by Thomas Grant, who also claimed an assist for his first.

Nathan Blockley received his second yellow card and his marching orders as the encounter entered the closing stages before Taylor wrapped up his hat-trick with a sweet curling effort late on.
