Routledge leveller denies Falkirk

Jon Routledge struck a magnificent equaliser as Hamilton drew 1-1 with Falkirk.

Lyle Taylor put Falkirk in front after only five minutes when he got on the end of Andrew Haworth's cross to emphatically slam home from close range.

The away side had a good chance to double the lead 10 minutes later but Sean Higgins headed at Kevin Cuthbert from six yards.

It took something special to get Hamilton back into the game and Routledge provided it three minutes from half-time with a delightful curling effort from 25 yards that nestled into the top-right corner.

Hamilton pushed for the winner, but Grant Gillespie headed over after 75 minutes and they almost won it with three minutes remaining but Jon McShane dragged his shot wide.
