Falkirk run riot

Falkirk scored four times in 13 minutes to see off Queen of the South with a convincing 5-1 victory.

The hosts took the lead when Scott McLaughlin found the bottom corner of the net from 12 yards out but Craig Sibbald brought Falkirk level before half-time with a curling effort.

Farid El Alagui put the visitors ahead after Queen of the South had failed to clear a corner and Sibbald scored from the edge of the box again moments later to extend their lead.

Kallum Higginbotham added a fourth, drilling home after being put through by El Alagui.

And El Alagui completed the rout four minutes from time when he got his second goal of the game. David Weatherston slotted his strike partner in and he kept his composure to blast the ball in.
