Falkirk defender Pele could be out of action for the rest of the season.The 31-year-old Portuguese has a suspected ruptured Achilles tendon, an injury he picked up during Wednesday's 0-0 draw with Motherwell.

Pele, who joined the Bairns in November after being released by West Brom in the summer, was carried off after only 11 minutes against Well.

Falkirk had gone into the game without fellow central defender Brian McLean, who was injured in the previous match.

Pele's contract with the Scottish Premier League club lasts until the end of the season.
