However, Falkirk say they were surprised at this action by HMRC as they were in talks with them.
A statement on Monday on the club website states: "We can confirm that all VAT payments are up to date."
And it continues: "We have reached agreement with HMRC today that any remaining outstanding PAYE payments will be paid in a mutually agreed timescale.
"In keeping with many other businesses in these challenging times we have been seeking to spread our payment obligations over a period.
"The cancellation of a number of home matches during the recent bad weather has further affected our cash flow.
"An approach was made to HMRC to assist us through this difficult period by agreeing to spread these payments over a longer period of time."
